Teaching Personnel is actively seeking Psychology Graduates to join our client schools as SEN Support Teaching Assistants. This role is a full-time opportunity designed for those looking to embark on a career in education.

The compensation for this position ranges from £420 to £450 per week.

To qualify for this role, candidates must be recent psychology graduates eager to pursue a career in education. For the right individuals, there will be opportunities for further training and the potential for permanent teaching roles upon qualification.

Applicants must be prepared to undergo a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two references from previous employment. A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students requiring additional SEN and SEMH support, including those with special needs such as autism or ADHD.
  • Assist pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to address their unique learning needs.
  • Support students in fulfilling their Educational Healthcare Plans (ECHPs).
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers, parents, and the students themselves.
  • Manage student behavior effectively and build strong relationships to aid their development.
  • Ensure adherence to all safeguarding protocols and handle situations with care.
