Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Dynamic Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our dynamic process simulation team, you will work on a variety of projects, including compressor surge analysis, holistic simulation, control optimization & validation, process safety time analysis, liquid surge (water-hammer) assessment, HIPPS response times, heat exchanger tube rupture, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver work under the supervision of one of our lead engineers.
  • Lead dynamic process simulation studies, performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct a large variety of work, including assessment of compressor anti-surge control, process control systems liquid surge, HIPPS response, and heat exchanger tube rupture using a variety of dynamic process simulation tools.
  • Present work to clients, virtually and face-to-face, through reports and presentations.
  • Prepare technical notes, reports, and client presentations.
  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards and internal procedures.
  • Understand client's requirements and contribute to winning bids for work.
  • Oversee more junior engineers under your supervision who are running process simulations, analysing results, and preparing reports.
  • Supervise and develop junior engineers.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Hold Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent, or be close to attaining this chartership.
  • Experienced using HYSYS Dynamics and/or Unisim Dynamics as well as PipeNet and/or Wanda or similar liquid surge (water hammer) programs.
  • Be a team player who is adaptable to working in new and changing environments.
  • Great organizational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects.
  • A strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
