What We're Looking For
We're seeking a Senior Process Simulation Engineer with dynamic process simulation expertise to provide practical solutions to our clients' challenges, including the requirement to decarbonize oil and gas production. You will work on a variety of projects, involved in compressor surge analysis, holistic simulation, control optimization & validation, process safety time analysis, liquid surge (water-hammer) assessment, HIPPS response times, heat exchanger tube rupture, and many more unique issues that are faced by our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Working as part of the dynamic process simulation team, delivering work under the supervision of one of our lead engineers.
- Ability to be the Lead Engineer on dynamic process simulation studies, performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
- Conduct a large variety of work, including assessment of compressor anti-surge control, process control systems liquid surge, HIPPS response, and heat exchanger tube rupture using a variety of dynamic process simulation tools.
- Present work to clients, virtually and face-to-face, through reports and presentations.
- Prepare technical notes, reports, and client presentations.
- Responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards and internal procedures.
- Understand client's requirements and contribute to winning bids for work.
- Oversee more junior engineers under your supervision who are running process simulations, analyzing results, and preparing reports.
- Supervise and develop junior engineers.
Your Qualifications
- Engineering degree, honors or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
- Hold Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent, or be close to attaining this chartership.
- Experienced using HYSYS Dynamics and/or Unisim Dynamics as well as PipeNet and/or Wanda or similar liquid surge (water hammer) programs.
- Proficient in software coding with /VBA.
- Be a team player who is adaptable to working in new and changing environments.
- Great organizational skills with good attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects.
- A strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
