Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with dynamic process simulation expertise to provide practical solutions to our clients' challenges, including the requirement to decarbonize oil and gas production. You will work on a variety of projects, involved in compressor surge analysis, holistic simulation, control optimization & validation, process safety time analysis, liquid surge (water-hammer) assessment, HIPPS response times, heat exchanger tube rupture, and many more unique issues that are faced by our clients.

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead several dynamic simulation projects, working under the mentorship of our dynamic process simulation Subject Matter Expert. You will be responsible for supporting and guiding junior engineers, checking their results, and reporting to the client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working as part of the dynamic process simulation team, delivering work under the supervision of one of our lead engineers.
  • Ability to be the Lead Engineer on dynamic process simulation studies, performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct a large variety of work, including assessment of compressor anti-surge control, process control systems liquid surge, HIPPS response, and heat exchanger tube rupture using a variety of dynamic process simulation tools.
  • Present work to clients, virtually and face-to-face, through reports and presentations.
  • Prepare technical notes, reports, and client presentations.
  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards and internal procedures.
  • Understand client's requirements and contribute to winning bids for work.
  • Oversee more junior engineers under your supervision who are running process simulations, analyzing results, and preparing reports.
  • Supervise and develop junior engineers.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree, honors or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Hold Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent, or be close to attaining this chartership.
  • Experienced using HYSYS Dynamics and/or Unisim Dynamics as well as PipeNet and/or Wanda or similar liquid surge (water hammer) programs.
  • Be a team player who is adaptable to working in new and changing environments.
  • Great organizational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects.
  • A strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
