We are seeking a highly skilled Simulator Engineer to join our team at First People Solutions. As a Simulator Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running, maintenance, and repair of Rotary Wing Flight Simulators.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance and repair of Simulator systems as required by the Company and OEMs in accordance with relevant regulations and appropriate equipment manuals.
- Carry out Daily readiness, preflight, and after-flight checks.
- Control of the systems required to run the simulators.
- Compliance with the appropriate maintenance and procedure manuals.
- Implementation of updates to simulator data, Ground Station Data, Host loads, and Visual Databases.
- Understanding and implementing simulator recording and reporting processes.
- Running Qualification Test Guides (QTGs).
- Update of the simulator maintenance and procedures manuals as appropriate.
- Reporting of unserviceability's and faults.
- Plan the repair of reported faults.
- Assuming appropriate responsibilities when requested during supervisor's absence.
- Communication with clients, contractors, aviation authorities, and OEM representatives.
- Complying with quality standards required by Bristow Helicopters Ltd.
- Comply with Design Procedures as set out in Company Handbooks and agreements with Third Parties.
- Computer literate, with advanced Windows application knowledge.
- Knowledge of schematic drawings would be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronics, and pneumatic systems.
- Understanding of fault-finding principles and corrective measures techniques.
- Knowledge of database programming, computer networks, and input techniques.
- Experience in a customer support or client-facing role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Operational experience desirable.
If you have experience working on simulators, this would be beneficial; however, we would be interested to hear from anyone holding the following qualifications:
- HNC/HND in aircraft/avionics related discipline.
- HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- HNC/HND in Information Technology/Computing.
