Job Description

Eden Scott is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi or Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Mathcad and ANSYS (or equivalent tools) to support the development of innovative products and solutions.

The role will involve utilizing Mathcad and ANSYS for engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to support design efforts. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize designs for manufacturability, functionality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Mathcad and ANSYS for engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to support design efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize designs for manufacturability, functionality, and performance.
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design concepts.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing technical insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance design practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Mathcad and ANSYS (or similar engineering software).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Design or relevant field.
  • Experience with project management and leading design projects.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
