Job Title: Accommodation and Housing Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Accommodation and Housing Officer to join our team at Ready 4 Home Housing Support CIC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals in achieving their aspirations for independent living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify residents' individual housing needs and develop tailored tenancy sustainment plans.
  • Encourage tenants to live independently within their local community, making referrals to external support agencies as necessary.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and update records in line with Ready4Home policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Ready4Home policies and procedures, and contribute to the protection of residents from abuse.
  • Liaise with housing, health, and social care professionals, benefits, welfare, and advocacy agencies, and other property owners as required.
  • Monitor non-payment of rent and act in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
  • Perform weekly fire and equipment checks to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant housing and support legislation, and participate in training and staff development sessions.
Requirements:
  • Proficient IT skills and ability to use different software and systems.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and regulations.
  • Valid business insurance and full, clean driving license.
