We seek a Physiotherapist with substantial skills and experience in evaluating and treating stroke patients to join our collaborative multidisciplinary team. A genuine enthusiasm for patient interaction, exceptional communication abilities, adaptability, effective time management, and strong organizational skills are crucial for success in this position. Additionally, the role requires travel, making car ownership necessary.

Main Responsibilities
To deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service to patients within the specialized area.
To function as an accountable and independent practitioner, managing your own caseload.
To collaborate with the Pathway and Team leaders in the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of the Physiotherapy service within the specialty on a daily basis.
To provide support and clinical supervision to less experienced physiotherapy staff and students.
To act as a deputy for Team leaders when necessary.
To maintain accurate records of patient interactions using both written documentation and electronic data systems.
To contribute to out-of-hours service provision as required.
To ensure ongoing professional competency.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical
To obtain informed consent from each patient prior to assessment and treatment, adhering to Trust policies regarding consent.
To conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for individual patients, including those with complex presentations, utilizing clinical examination, observation, and manual assessment techniques.
To apply advanced clinical reasoning to formulate diagnoses and establish therapeutic objectives.
To design and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, employing manual techniques, patient education, exercise programs, and other modalities as appropriate.
To assess patient progress, reassess, and modify treatment plans as necessary.
To develop discharge plans and recommend the best course of interventions.
To make informed clinical decisions regarding discharge planning and referrals to other services.
Communication
To effectively communicate clinical diagnoses and treatment plans to patients and their families.
To engage with patients, relatives, and colleagues professionally and appropriately, maximizing rehabilitative potential through various communication methods.
To maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with professional standards and Trust policies.
Education
To participate in the staff appraisal process and adhere to personal and professional development plans.
To maintain and enhance specialist knowledge through continuous professional development activities.
To engage in clinical supervision of less experienced staff and students through teaching and mentoring.
To ensure the safe and competent use of physiotherapy equipment and to provide training to others as necessary.
Management/Professional
To organize and prioritize your caseload effectively to meet service demands.
To mentor less experienced staff and provide guidance as needed.
To supervise and assess physiotherapy students, demonstrating advanced clinical skills.
To identify opportunities for service improvement and implement changes with senior support.
To maintain high standards of practice and contribute to the Trust's governance agenda.
To ensure compliance with health and safety policies and report incidents appropriately.
Qualifications
Essential
Degree or equivalent in physiotherapy Membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council Evidence of postgraduate training relevant to clinical specialisms Demonstrated clinical experience within relevant specialismsExperience
