Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SHE Advisor to join our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective systems to manage data and verify the competence of personnel working on our behalf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Procedures: Develop and maintain procedures for verifying and assuring the technical competencies of personnel working on our behalf.
  • Data Management: Request, collate, and manage data confirming levels of competency of personnel working on our contract.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare management information and reports for the confirmation of levels of compliance.
  • Induction Training: Facilitate and support the delivery of induction training for all operational teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with training providers to verify data provided by personnel and undertake checks on the data to verify accuracy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Training Data: Ensure all training data is up to date each month.
  • Data Accuracy: Undertake an agreed number of checks every month to verify data accuracy.
  • Reporting: Produce reports in the timescales agreed.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver specific projects to drive improved performance in agreed timescales.

Stakeholder Engagement

In order to fulfill the responsibilities of this role, you will need to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to:

  • Head of Safety & Assurance.
  • Senior SHE Advisor and Technical Compliance Officer.
  • Other members of the SHEQ team.
  • Project/ Site Managers.
  • Operational teams and management.
  • Client representatives, including but not limited to Safety and Assurance team members.

Requirements

  • Experience: Experience of dealing with and managing a broad range of requirements.
  • System Development: Able to develop clear systems and procedures for the collection and management of information.
  • Initiative and Independence: Uses own initiative and can work independently.
  • Solution Provider: A provider of solutions rather than a barrier to operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Able to engage with and influence stakeholders to complete tasks.
  • Communication: Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view.
  • Presentation: Well presented as appropriate to the working environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Management Skills: Able to show further development in their management skills through formal qualification, training, or experience.
  • Training Experience: Experience in delivery of training.
  • System Implementation: Experience in the development and implementation of systems.
