Position Overview

The Director of Safeguarding and Public Protection will play a crucial role in spearheading safeguarding initiatives across our organization. This leadership position is essential for ensuring the safety and rights of vulnerable populations, including both children and adults at risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the formulation, execution, and assessment of safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Guide clinical and managerial teams in fulfilling their safeguarding responsibilities, providing expert advice and support to operational services.
  • Conduct audits and develop action plans based on findings to enhance safeguarding practices throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with external safeguarding boards and local networks to ensure comprehensive safeguarding measures are in place.
  • Lead training initiatives to educate staff on safeguarding practices, including domestic abuse, mental capacity, and public protection.
