Position Overview
The Director of Safeguarding and Public Protection will oversee the establishment and management of robust safeguarding frameworks within our organization. This pivotal role is dedicated to ensuring the safety, welfare, and rights of vulnerable populations, including both children and at-risk adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and execution of safeguarding policies and practices across the Trust, ensuring effective collaboration with multiple agencies.
- Guide clinical and managerial teams in fulfilling their safeguarding responsibilities, providing expert advice and facilitating communication with external agencies.
- Conduct audits and develop action plans to enhance safeguarding practices, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into organizational processes.
- Serve as a corporate representative, assuring the Trust Board and external bodies of the effectiveness of safeguarding measures while promoting human rights.
- Collaborate with local Safeguarding Boards and designated medical professionals to enhance safeguarding initiatives.
