About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lincolnshire County Council as a senior leader in Adult Safeguarding. As the Head of Adult Safeguarding Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) and Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs) on behalf of Adult Care
  • Support multi-agency learning and development initiatives
  • Contribute to Quality and Practice Audits
  • Work with lead professionals to inform practice development
  • Lead high-profile operational teams, including a central team of safeguarding professionals and the Council's Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) service
Requirements
  • Hold a Social or Health Care qualification and current registration
  • Have a management qualification or significant experience at a suitable level
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide expert advice on the Safeguarding agenda
  • Have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance
  • Be able to de-escalate difficult situations and encourage outstanding practice
