About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join our dynamic team at Lincolnshire County Council. As a Safeguarding Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of adults at risk of abuse or neglect.

Key Responsibilities

As a Safeguarding Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating enquiries relating to adults who are experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect
  • Assessing and managing risk to ensure plans are in place to promote wellbeing, safeguard, and support the outcomes of people experiencing abuse or neglect
  • Working with other professionals to develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of safeguarding activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy qualification and maintained professional registration with the relevant professional body
  • Post-qualifying practice experience in adult safeguarding
  • A secure, sound understanding, knowledge, and experience within the adult safeguarding arena, including S42 enquires, MSP, and the Care Act 2014
