About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join our dynamic team at Lincolnshire County Council. As a Safeguarding Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting adults at risk of abuse or neglect, working closely with other professionals to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate safeguarding enquiries, utilizing a strength-based approach to assess and manage risk.
- Develop and implement plans to promote the wellbeing, safety, and support of adults at risk.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
- Conduct thorough assessments and risk management to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including families, carers, and other professionals.
Requirements
- Hold a professional Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy qualification and maintain professional registration with the relevant body.
- Have post-qualifying practice experience in adult safeguarding.
- Have a secure, sound understanding of adult safeguarding principles, including S42 enquiries, Multi-Agency Safeguarding Panels (MSP), and the Care Act 2014.
