About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Adult Safeguarding Services. As Head of Adult Safeguarding Services, you will be responsible for supporting multi-agency learning and development, leading on Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) and Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs), and contributing to Quality and Practice Audits.

You will also lead high-profile operational teams, including a central team of safeguarding professionals and the Council's Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) service. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience of establishing leadership cultures that embody respect, authenticity, and proactiveness, and the ability to work with lead professionals to inform practice development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a Social or Health Care qualification and current registration, as well as a management qualification or significant experience at a suitable level. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to provide expert advice, and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
