Safeguarding Adult Services Specialist

Safeguarding Adults Officers work under the leadership of Safeguarding Principal Practitioners to perform statutory safeguarding duties outlined in the Care Act 2014.
Main Responsibilities
The role is focused on safeguarding adults, presenting fresh opportunities to develop knowledge and explore new ideas daily.
Safeguarding Officers will lead and coordinate working with other professionals on enquiries related to adults experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect, utilizing a strength-based approach. They are responsible for assessing and managing risk, ensuring plans are in place to promote well-being, safety, and support outcomes for individuals experiencing abuse or neglect.
Requirements
To take on this role, you must hold a professional Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy qualification, maintained professional registration with the relevant body, and have some post-qualifying practice experience. Our team requires applicants to have a secure understanding, knowledge, and experience within the adult safeguarding arena, including S42 enquires, MSP, and the Care Act 2014.
