About the Role:

Sword, a leading provider of business technology solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our IT Services team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our Senior Leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our future strategy and sales plans to achieve our growth ambitions for Vision 2028.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive growth and diversify our customer base within our target sectors.
  • Build and develop a high-performing sales team to deliver our growth targets.
  • Establish long-lasting and meaningful relationships with our clients to achieve trusted partner status.
  • Lead commercial and technical pre-sales activities to grow our existing accounts and deliver new business.
  • Participate in the authoring of proposals and tender responses to articulate our offerings to our customers.
  • Identify whitespace and develop new offerings to deploy coordinated business development campaigns in our core and emerging market segments.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in sales, business development, team management, and technical pre-sales.
  • A commercially focused mindset with the ability to deliver tactically and think strategically.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to build a high-performing sales team.
  • The ability to understand our customers' business needs and correlate them with our services to provide the right solutions.
  • Experience selling managed services and technology solutions across multiple sectors.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-workload environment with a strong emphasis on meeting team goals.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working within the Energy sector, selling services and consultancy in the UK and Europe.
  • Experience managing complex commercial and technical bids.
