London, Greater London, United Kingdom easyJet Airline Company PLC Full time
About the Role

The Scheduling Manager is a key position within easyJet, responsible for designing and developing the airline's future schedule to maximize profitability and deliver strategic initiatives while ensuring operational resilience throughout the schedule cycle planning.

This role requires a proactive approach to removing impediments, driving agility efficiencies through defined workstreams, and implementing measures to address poor profitability or operational performance. The successful candidate will also define and drive processes that deliver easyJet's schedule design and development, working closely with key partner functions such as Long-Term Operational Planning, Network, Commercial Teams, easyJet Holidays, and Schedule Planning and Slot.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop easyJet's future schedule under the KPIs set by AMB, with the aim of maximizing long-term profitability while safeguarding operational resilience and optimizing easyJet's strategic portfolio.
  2. Lead the development of schedule design scenarios, which are a vital element of the Route Development Forum (RDF) and Schedule Planning Cycle.
  3. Drive the innovation of schedule design development, including the adaptation of refined schedule planning methodologies, ways of working, and tools.
  4. Establish, implement, and maintain new and current data-tools as the foundation for schedule creation, ensuring cross-departmental alignment.
  5. Work closely with other Leadership roles, particularly supporting Research & Development, Delivery, and Slot Policy counterparts in Scheduling, to guarantee continuous improvement and alignment with external stakeholders.
  6. Apply strategic thinking to consider the impact of multiple variables from a network base performance to operational resilience initiatives and challenges.
  7. Deliver end-to-end projects/tasks with desirable agile methodologies and frameworks applications.
  8. Develop a strong understanding of the data and sources of data used in easyJet's commercial and operational planning (internal and external).
  9. Apply a 'can-do' attitude to strip problems back to their core, remove complexities, and find and drive through simple solutions.
  10. Work across a range of airline/aviation functions with a deep understanding of Network, Operation, and Scheduling.
  11. Previous people management experience, preferably in a development and delivery-focused role.
What We Offer
  1. Competitive base salary
  2. Up to 20% bonus
  3. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to buy 5 additional days leave after 12 months in role
  4. BAYE, SAYE, and Performance share schemes
