English Functional Skills Tutor

About the Role
CRA GROUP LIMITED is seeking a dedicated and experienced English Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences for learners, guiding them towards success in their English language development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with SALS policies and practices.
- Conduct initial assessments to identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and guidance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive course outlines, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
- Maintain accurate class registers and ensure learner attendance and punctuality.
- Monitor learner progress, provide feedback on assignments, and create individual learning plans.
- Collaborate with the curriculum team leader to ensure smooth course delivery and accreditation.
- Adhere to safeguarding requirements, health and safety regulations, and GDPR guidelines.
- Promote equal opportunities in all interactions and learning materials.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience teaching accredited English Functional Skills courses.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience, preferably in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification).
- Knowledge and training in subject specialism, such as PGCE DET or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
Additional Information
This role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
