Job Summary

CRA GROUP LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning programs for English Functional Skills courses.
  • Assess and record learner outcomes, including the completion of exam entry forms.
  • Monitor learner attendance and punctuality, and take appropriate action as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the curriculum and provide advice, guidance, and support to learners.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum team leader/manager and other service staff to ensure the effective organization of examinations and assessments.
  • Comply with safeguarding requirements, including Health and Safety and GDPR regulations.
  • Participate in course team meetings and contribute to the Service's self-assessment and development planning process.
Requirements
  • Experience of teaching on accredited English Functional Skills courses.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in teaching, preferably in a related industry or sector.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification).
  • Knowledge and training in subject specialism, e.g., PGCE, DET, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum L2 English and maths qualifications.
Additional Information

This role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The successful candidate will be required to work up to 20 hours per week and be available for up to two evenings per week.
