Job Title: Learning Support Tutor and Functional Skills Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Support Tutor and Functional Skills Specialist to join our team at the LMP Group. As a key member of our education and training team, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with additional learning needs to achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality learning support and functional skills training to learners with additional needs
  • Conduct regular interventions to support learner progress and development
  • Implement a pedagogical approach to learning and assessment
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners
  • Monitor and coordinate learner progress and assessment
  • Collaborate with tutors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless learner support
  • Ensure compliance with ESFA funding rules and internal guidelines

Person Specification:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g. C/DET or equivalent)
  • Mathematics and/or English qualifications at level 3 or above
  • Experience in teaching and assessing learners with additional needs
  • Experience in delivering functional skills training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Competitive salary range: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
