About the Role
CRA GROUP LIMITED is seeking a dedicated and experienced Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences for learners, helping them develop essential mathematical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
- Conduct initial assessments to identify learning gaps and create personalized learning plans.
- Prepare comprehensive course outlines, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, achievements, and assessments.
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to ensure alignment with educational standards and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in delivering accredited Functional Skills Maths courses.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience, preferably in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification).
- Knowledge and training in subject specialism, such as PGCE or DET.
- Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
Additional Information
This is a part-time role requiring 12-20 hours per week. Flexibility to work during daytime hours and up to two evenings per week is essential.
