About this role

We are seeking an exceptional Maths tutor to join our team of dedicated educators. As a Maths tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to adult learners, with a focus on GCSE and Functional Skills Maths.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons to adult learners
  • Assessing and providing feedback to learners on their progress
  • Developing and implementing effective Maths programmes to meet the needs of our learners
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

We are looking for a Maths tutor who is passionate about teaching and learning, with a strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate and inspire adult learners. If you have a proven track record of delivering high-quality Maths education and are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our learners, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (Level 3 minimum) and a subject-specific qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with adult learners and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to work towards Level 4 or above
