Join our dedicated Configuration Pension Implementation Team at Capita, where we are seeking skilled Pension Solutions Specialists and Senior Specialists to enhance our remote workforce.

The Configuration Team operates within our Implementation Division, tasked with delivering top-tier pension administration solutions for both new and existing clientele. Our projects vary significantly, from large-scale strategic transformations for major corporations to tailored solutions for smaller clients. Collaboration with various stakeholders is essential, as our expertise spans a wide range of activities.

In this role, you will engage with one of the largest public sector pension schemes in the UK, ensuring that all facets of the transition and change initiatives are executed efficiently and to a high standard within a structured project framework.

Your Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with clients throughout the implementation process to grasp their needs, data, workflows, and systems, providing insights on how to best implement our offerings.


• Conduct system demonstrations for current and potential clients as needed.


• Manage project activities, including identifying and mitigating risks and issues.


• Gather, document, and analyze scheme/product information.


• Assess existing business processes and establish new operational procedures as necessary.


• Perform system configuration and quality control testing, including peer reviews of requirements documentation.


• Contribute to the technical advancement of our technology platforms through involvement in analysis, design, and specification creation for new or enhanced developments.


• Assist in the sales and procurement process by communicating with prospective clients.


• Help develop strategies to enhance transition and change processes, services, and standards.


• Support your line manager in effectively overseeing any team members under their supervision.


• Conduct system configuration and verification.


• Perform data analysis and verification tasks.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • Proven leadership experience in project management and team mentoring.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK pensions, including a comprehensive understanding of DB, DC, CARE, and Annuities, along with their administration and system/process implications.
  • Ability to articulate:

pension member records and their configurations, the interrelations among members, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds, and investments, various types of Pension Schemes, different member statuses and relevant calculations, the roles of regulatory bodies in this sector, and knowledge of system setup and parameter usage.

  • Demonstrated expertise in pension and employee benefit technology platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, capable of creating automated calculators using basic formulas, and adept at utilizing filters, sorting, pivot tables, lookups, control totals, and conditional statements.
  • Good knowledge of MS Access.
  • Ability to comprehend requirements and produce detailed specifications.
