About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Head of Finance to join our team at FD Limited. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for and support the Group CFO as required, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including governments and prospective investors, to secure funding and drive business growth.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running and oversight of the Holding company and Group finance function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Assist with project-based integration work, streamlining legal and operating structures to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support and advise on global treasury matters, working closely with the Group's Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).
  • Lead the Group annual business plan and budgeting processes, reporting to the Board and providing regular updates on financial performance.
  • Responsibility for all management reporting for the holding company and Group, including financial KPIs and value for money (VFM) metrics.
  • Review and supervise the work of team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines.
  • Supervise the statutory audit, accounts preparation, and corporation tax computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate external audits across the group, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with emerging market exposure.
  • Experience in private markets (Infrastructure, PE, VC, Private Debt) and/or global corporate banking and treasury management, or working with government departments or PPP arrangements, or experience working with impact-focused INGOs.
  • Good IFRS knowledge and comfortable with international tax and PAYE calculations, including IFRS 9 and 10, and IPEV-based valuations.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent Excel, report writing, and communication skills, with the ability to present to Boards and Audit Committees.
  • Exposure to long-term financial planning and modelling, as well as group-wide reporting, planning, and budgeting.
