Role Overview
The organization is seeking an individual to take on the pivotal role of leading the finance department, directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This position involves managing the daily financial activities and supervising a small team.


Key Responsibilities
To excel in this role, candidates should possess experience in:

  • Overseeing the invoicing and payment collection processes to ensure timely receipt of funds.
  • Managing the accounts payable and supplier payment systems to guarantee accurate and prompt payments.
  • Handling payroll, cash postings, and all entries in the general ledger.
  • Monitoring cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly analyzing internal financial reports.
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
  • Supervising and mentoring finance department personnel.
  • Inspiring and guiding team members by clarifying responsibilities and providing constructive feedback.
  • Recommending enhancements and optimizations for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, organized, and reported.
  • Establishing and implementing financial reporting systems to adhere to governmental regulations.
  • Collaborating with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Regularly reviewing financial plans and budgets to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Scrutinizing financial reports and data to identify any discrepancies.
  • Creating systems to minimize errors in data collection and calculations.
  • Adhering to health, safety, and environmental guidelines in all finance-related activities.
  • Providing ongoing feedback to the Chief Operating Officer regarding factors impacting company performance.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
