Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in Forward Thinking Birmingham's Referral Management Centre. As a key member of our triage team, you will provide expert clinical oversight to junior staff, conduct audits to validate and improve service standards, and optimize patient flow through the service.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff
- Conduct audits to ensure high-quality care and service standards
- Optimize patient flow through the service
- Facilitate managerial and clinical supervision sessions
- Design and deliver training to meet service needs
- Collaborate with services within FTB to address challenges
- Ensure the service aligns with the latest clinical guidelines
- Current professional qualification (RMN, RNLD, Social Worker)
- Willingness to undertake further training as required
- Extensive experience in Community Mental Health work with adolescents or young adults
- Experience of working with families with mental health difficulties
- Experience of inpatient Mental Health work with adults or adolescents
- Experience of leading or managing other staff within this area of work
- Post-registration training in a treatment modality to diploma/degree standard as a minimum such as CBT
- Management/Leadership Training
- Degree in a relevant subject
- Training in Research
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of research
- Experience of working in a home treatment team, day hospital or outreach service
- Experience of leading and managing a team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Advanced knowledge of treatment techniques and interventions in FTB
- Flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and self-confident
- Able to work as part of a team and to lead others
- Skilled in working with other agencies including the voluntary sector
- Knowledge of Child Protection Procedures, adult safeguarding, and vulnerable young adults
- Previous experience of supervising junior staff
