We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team in the Endocrinology Unit at Perth Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care for children with a range of endocrine disorders, including thyroid conditions, growth and puberty disorders, and pituitary dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care for children with endocrine disorders, including thyroid conditions, growth and puberty disorders, and pituitary dysfunction.
- Oversee the work of Clinical Nurses and provide clinical support to the broader nursing team.
- Run nurse-led clinics specializing in specific areas like thyroid disease and growth disorders.
- Educate and support members of the multidisciplinary team on the management of these complex conditions.
- Lead clinical practice by developing standards, implementing changes, and initiating research projects.
- Provide expert consultation to inpatient wards, ICU, day treatment unit, and wider regional endocrinology management.
Requirements:
- A registered nurse with extensive experience in paediatrics and a keen interest in endocrinology.
- A passionate advocate for improving children's health.
- A strong leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability and willingness to direct self-learning.
- Committed to providing mentorship and role modelling for junior members of the multidisciplinary team.
