Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Sexual Health team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our experienced health advisor team and the wider HIV MDT.
Key Responsibilities- Provide sexual health, contraception, and cervical cytology services to our HIV cohort of patients.
- Work autonomously as a practitioner, while also collaborating with our team to deliver a high standard of care.
- Develop and implement educational programs and teach/assess/supervise others in a clinical setting.
- Contribute to the development of our team and services, with a focus on improving patient care and outcomes.
- Registered Adult/Child Nurse on the NMC Register.
- Evidence of post-registration CPD and post-registration qualification in an appropriate area of specialty or professional knowledge.
- Recognised mentorship course.
- Significant years of post-registration experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at B6 or above in a defined or associated specialty.
- Extensive experience of working autonomously at a specialist level.
- Expert knowledge underpinned by theory and CPD relevant to the specialty.
- Ability to adapt behaviour to changing circumstances, communicate articulately, and motivate others.
