About the Role

As a Ward Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursing service on Rays of Sunshine Ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading a team of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective nursing strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Trust and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of a culture of excellence within the team
Requirements
  • Current NMC Part 1 (Child) registration
  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or team leader context
  • Recognised teaching or mentoring qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
