The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all functions and activities within the specialist clinical environment, working closely with Theatres, CCU, Interventional Radiology, Admissions, and other wards within the trust. This role requires a strong clinical leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills to drive service improvement and enhance patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a background in cardiology, cardiothoracic, and renal care, with proven leadership skills and a passion for developing new services. They will work closely with the Matron and nursing team leaders to foster good communication and improve processes, ensuring a seamless patient pathway.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the ward team and coordinating all functions and activities
  • Developing and implementing service improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
  • Managing and providing planned care for the unit caseload
