Job Title: Theatre Practitioner/Nurse - Clinical Leadership Role

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Theatre Practitioner/Nurse to join our dynamic team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the clinical area, providing specialist clinical advice, and ensuring high-quality care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead on assessing, planning, and implementing high-quality care for patients in the clinical area.
• Provide specialist clinical advice to support and facilitate high-quality, individualized care to patients/clients and relatives/carers without supervision in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure the safe custody, maintenance, and administration of medication, in accordance with established Trust policy.
• Promote and maintain a safe therapeutic environment for patients, their families, and staff, according to national and local Infection Control guidelines, Health & Safety legislation, and Trust policies and objectives.

Person Specification:
• Registered Nurse/Registered ODP
• Mentorship qualification/Equivalent
• Theatre Course/Anaesthetic Course
• Enhanced Practice in Anaesthesia or equivalent

Desirable:
• Leadership Course
• Management Course

Experience:
• Relevant post-registration experience
• Extensive experience in general surgery/Anaesthetic
• Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management, national nursing, and NHS strategies
• Experience in the supervision of junior staff/others
• Experience of clinical supervision
• Extensive experience in ENT, gynaecology, and orthopaedics surgery

Skills and Knowledge:
• Proven clinical knowledge linked to area of speciality and excellence in care delivery
• Proven knowledge of safety issues through clinical governance and risk management
• Knowledge of current challenges and issues in nursing
• Commitment to quality initiatives and research
• Computer literacy skills
• Experience of data collection for quality monitoring/audit
• Experience of risk management/assessment
