Lead Intensive Care Nurse – ITU

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Intensive Care Nurse to become a vital member of our ITU Unit at London Bridge Hospital, which has received an 'Outstanding' rating from the CQC. Our Critical Care Unit operates around the clock, delivering specialized and continuous care to patients facing critical medical or surgical challenges. The unit is supported by a proactive and skilled multidisciplinary team, including Consultant Intensivists, Critical Care Resident Medical Officers, and Critical Care Nurses.
As a Lead Intensive Care Nurse, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient functioning of the department. Your expertise will be essential in mentoring junior nursing staff, utilizing your extensive clinical knowledge to guide them effectively. Additionally, you will take the lead in the absence of the ITU Sister/Charge Nurse. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities; one day you may be delivering tailored care to patients, while the next you could be involved in audits or quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care. What We Value:
- Registered General Nurse with an active NMC pin.
- Specialized skills and experience in Cardiac or General ITU.
- Significant experience in Critical Care settings.
- Completion of a Critical Care Course (60 Credits).
