Job Description

We are seeking a top-level Sales Director to join our team at Digital Waffle, a full-service marketing agency based in Central London. After undergoing a significant period of growth, we are now looking for a business-savvy Sales Director to generate new business, contributing to the top and bottom-line growth of the company.

The Sales Director will manage and deliver upon the sales funnel, working closely with our Managing Director to pitch new business opportunities as they reach the appropriate stages of the sales cycle. You will play an integral part in our client growth strategy, striving to create a sales funnel 4-5 times the size of the quota at any point after a significant ramp-up in the business. The right candidate MUST have experience in sales of marketing or media solutions. If you have a background in Marketing Agency sales, your application will be looked upon favorably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear and robust experience selling complex media/data solutions to both SMEs and large corporations
  • A strong professional network
  • Experience identifying sales opportunities, cold calling and generating meetings with new prospects, leading to a high conversion in sales.
  • Confident in your ability to create and lead on 2-4 major sales pitches a month alongside the Managing Director
  • The ability to ensure the integrity of the sales pipeline, including forecasting on a 90-day rolling basis
  • Happy to continuously provide market feedback that will help develop our company offerings, in order to meet the needs of prospective clients
  • The confidence to co-lead weekly/monthly meetings with other senior sales and management staff
  • Capable of supporting client presentations and pitches with advice, materials and fresh content
  • A first-class communicator, happy to identify, organise and attend networking events throughout the year and make sure to follow up with any prospective clients, throughout the sales pipeline process
  • Evidenced experience in telling client stories and building relevant collateral
  • Proactive in developing points of view to give guidance on core topics like audience, inventory and data sources
  • Impeccable pipeline management
  • Demonstrable industry knowledge, experience and understanding, happy to share this with your juniors to ensure a successful and cohesive team
  • Any candidate that has previously worked within a marketing agency (or similar) will be looked upon favorably
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills, operating as a knowledge leader in the marketing space, and able to explain complex business models, tools and concepts simply
  • Ability to inspire the team working below you to keep to high standards, those set out by you
  • Natural salesperson, familiar with SaaS and Marketing agencies
  • Enthusiastic and vibrant with great business acumen, willing to share this with your colleagues around you
  • Naturally competitive, you will thrive off winning business for the agency, always seeking out sales potential to boost the growth of the company
