Job Title: Financial Business Partner

Advance Northumberland is seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our business strategy and ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and analyze key financial information to inform business decisions and ensure future financial stability, growth, and profitability.
  2. Establish and maintain financial policies and management information systems, providing a high-quality support service to management colleagues.
  3. Provide analysis and reporting on all project finances across their entire lifecycle, working closely with the Ascent Homes team.
  4. Critically appraise current reporting processes, identify improvements, and collaborate with the wider team to implement and improve communication between the Finance and Ascent Homes teams.
  5. Lead on the preparation of the annual budget, revised full year forecast, and medium-term financial plans, incorporating information gathered through in-year variance analysis and commentaries.
  6. Advise on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions and prepare reports for submission to the Audit Committee and Advance Northumberland Board.
  7. Financial appraisal of new projects, preparation of cash flows, sensitivities analysis, and instigating funding drawdowns as and when required.
  8. Reconciliation of actual spend to programme managers records, and provision of information to the Advance Northumberland Group and external stakeholders as appropriate.
