Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant Opportunity

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Ashington to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant on a 1-month contract, with potential for extension. If you have a strong background in pharmacy services and are looking for a challenging role, please apply with your CV for consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses
  • Handle and dispense medicines accurately, including NHS and private prescriptions
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as company SOPs
  • Support the delivery of pharmacy services as needed
  • Provide safe and accurate advice on medicines, including OTC medication, to customers and patients

Requirements:

  • NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed through a GPhC accredited route
  • Experience working in a community pharmacy, preferably with experience using Pharmacy Manager software

Important Notes:

  • You should be available to start immediately or at short notice
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • This role requires a basic DBS
