Position: Lead Engineer for Digital Electrical Systems


Location: Flexible working arrangements available; travel may be required.


Compensation: Approximately £54,793 based on qualifications and experience.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a strategic vision for your area of expertise that aligns with the latest engineering practices and supports overarching program goals.
  • Driving innovation and implementing the necessary engineering methodologies, technologies, personnel, and cultural shifts to advance product development.
  • Collaborating on the design and execution of product development frameworks (including processes, tools, technologies, and data) with software partners, internal engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Facilitating organizational change by engaging with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and instilling a sense of urgency.
  • Assembling and guiding a cross-functional team to achieve the objectives set forth by the program.
  • Coordinating with both domestic and international partners to establish and implement solutions that benefit the entire program.

Qualifications and Experience:


Essential:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (BEng or higher).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to resolve challenges.
  • Comfortable navigating uncertainty, questioning conventional wisdom, and leading transformative initiatives.

Desirable:

  • Experience across various phases of the Product Lifecycle, from Concept Design to Integration and Testing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in an Engineering Discipline.
  • Development of methodologies and tools utilized in product development.
  • Familiarity with Capital Suite (Siemens) and Team Centre Unified.
  • Professional registration as Chartered Engineer (CEng).
