Wood Process & Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior C&I Engineer to support our projects on a minimum 12-month contract duration. The successful candidate will be based in our office at Stockton or Hull and will work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 2 days in the office. Remote working is possible, but occasional travel to the office/client site may be required.

The Senior C&I Engineer will be responsible for managing aspects of instrument scope within budget and schedule, executing instrument engineering activities (Concept, FEED & Detailed Design), and achieving safety standards as defined in their personal performance contract. They will also carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems, and maintain the required technical quality of work.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on projects for the Energy, Chemicals, and Refining Sectors, with a strong background in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and instrument engineering. They will be a self-motivated team player who can work on their own initiative with minimal supervision, and will have a degree or equivalent in the appropriate engineering subject. Chartered Engineer status as a Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control (IMC) or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is desirable.

The successful candidate will have experience with the specification of field instrumentation, analysers, and ESD and actuated valves, as well as sizing of flow devices/control valves/relief devices. They will also have experience with the specification of Fire & Gas systems and detection equipment and the application of BS5839-1, and with IT/Telecoms/Networks/Access Control & CCTV Systems.

We are looking for a candidate who can work effectively with client engineers and vendors to facilitate project execution, and who has experience in specification and interface management of Instrumentation and Control requirements for Mechanical packages.
