POSITION OVERVIEW

Wood Process & Energy is seeking a seasoned Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer for a significant contract role. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility with a minimum of two days in the office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In the capacity of Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Head of C&I Engineering to facilitate the successful execution of C&I tasks throughout all project stages, from initial concept to operational start-up.

  • Deliver practical and innovative technical solutions to address operational engineering challenges.
  • Assess both existing and prospective manufacturers in your field for technical proficiency and compliance.
  • Conduct technical analyses on project-related issues and compile reports for presentation to both technical and management teams.
  • Evaluate engineering and design proposals for large-scale projects.
  • Review and enhance engineering and design documentation, including procedures, standards, and specifications (FEED & EPC).
  • Demonstrate expertise in developing Instrument/Control Engineering deliverables tailored to specific project needs.
  • Oversee the delivery of small to medium-sized projects, managing estimates, schedules, and resource allocation as necessary.
  • Review and approve engineering and design outputs in accordance with established corporate protocols.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and support work groups effectively.
  • Participate in HAZOP/SIL assignments and possess knowledge of IEC 61511 standards.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, operations engineers, procurement teams, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant regulatory bodies.
