Lead and Manage a High-Performing Team of Instrumentation & Control Engineers

We are seeking an experienced and driven Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of I&C engineering projects within the heavy engineering, chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Develop and manage project scopes of work, ensuring alignment with client requirements and budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee the design process, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes of practice, and company quality management systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct technical analysis of proposals from equipment manufacturers and contractors, providing expert recommendations.
  • Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, planning meetings, model reviews, and constructability reviews, contributing to a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in I&C engineering within the heavy engineering, chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas sectors.
  • A relevant technical engineering degree and preferably Chartered Engineer status with a recognized institution.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, effectively allocating work and monitoring progress.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD, with knowledge of ATEX regulations and equipment for electrically hazardous areas.
  • Familiarity with Functional Safety principles and standards, ideally holding a relevant FS qualification.
