We are excited to present an opportunity for a Maintenance Reliability Specialist to enhance our engineering operations. As a key player in our team, you will contribute to the production of beloved British bakery products.

Your primary responsibility will be to establish and implement effective maintenance strategies for our equipment, focusing on optimizing preventative and proactive maintenance to meet reliability and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine a comprehensive maintenance program that ensures the reliability of all electrical and mechanical assets within your manufacturing area.
  • Serve as the primary contact for maintenance or breakdown support from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to maximize the utilization of equipment, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimal operational efficiency while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Create and maintain effective maintenance plans, including technical documentation and procedures, to support the Site Capital Plan.
  • Assist in the development of future capital expenditure plans by analyzing machine obsolescence.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, safety, efficiency, and reducing waste.
  • Help achieve targeted savings in manufacturing controllable costs in relation to factory volume changes.
  • Transition the engineering maintenance strategy from a reactive approach to a proactive, Right First Time philosophy.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement tools, such as Root Cause Analysis, to review and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance plan.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or automation disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance, with demonstrated expertise in bakery and process equipment.
  • Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturer Asset Care guidelines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of asset care systems, along with strong organizational and planning skills relevant to maintenance activities and equipment upgrades.
