Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Therapeutic Activities Facilitator to become an integral part of our dedicated team within the Mental Health Wards at Oxford Health NHS Trust.

This role is situated within a 20-bed male acute psychiatric unit, where we support individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges.

The Therapeutic Activities Facilitator will collaborate closely with a diverse multi-disciplinary team, which includes Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Health Care Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, and Health and Fitness Instructors.

Each ward at our facility is equipped with an Activities Facilitator, providing ample opportunities for collaboration and professional development through regular peer supervision.

We are in search of a proactive team member who will engage in the planning, development, and execution of a variety of therapeutic, wellness, and social activities tailored for our service users. Working alongside patients and the Occupational Therapist, you will design a comprehensive 7-day activity schedule aimed at fostering meaningful engagement during their stay, ultimately enhancing their well-being and supporting their recovery journey. You will receive substantial support from both the Nursing and Occupational Therapy teams.
