Therapeutic Activities Facilitator

Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Therapeutic Activities Facilitator to become a vital part of our Mental Health Services at Oxford Health NHS Trust.
This role is situated within a supportive environment, focusing on enhancing the well-being of individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges.
The Therapeutic Activities Facilitator will collaborate with a diverse multi-disciplinary team, which includes Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other health professionals, to provide enriching activities tailored to the needs of our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage service users in a variety of physical and recreational activities that cater to their unique needs and capabilities.
- Design and coordinate a comprehensive schedule of activities under the guidance of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Organize inclusive events for service users in partnership with team members to foster community and engagement.
- Utilize practical skills to support service users, identifying needs in collaboration with the team.
- Assist in improving the mental and physical health of service users through tailored activities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of activities in conjunction with service users and the multi-disciplinary team.
- Document progress and clinical information related to service users in collaboration with the team.
Qualifications and Skills
- A genuine interest in delivering a broad spectrum of therapeutic activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with service users, families, and colleagues.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to manage activities efficiently.
- Prior experience in creative arts, crafts, or physical fitness is advantageous.
- Willingness to work flexibly and adapt to the evolving needs of the service.
