Key Responsibilities
Deliver advanced and highly specialized skills, guidance, leadership, and education to the multidisciplinary team. ·Provide clinical leadership, in collaboration with the Paediatric Consultant, in coordinating nursing and medical care within the Neonatal Unit, as well as for neonates in the Delivery Suite and postnatal ward. ·Offer advanced clinical skills, specialized advice, and education to the multidisciplinary team. ·Deliver holistic, individualized intensive, high-dependency, and special care for neonates. ·The Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (ANNP) will undertake Tier 1 responsibilities on the Neonatal medical rota and operate at a senior practitioner level, assuming aspects of the role and responsibilities typically held by junior medical staff. The postholder is expected to exercise a high degree of professional autonomy, collaborate across professional boundaries, and make critical judgments to meet the expectations and demands of the role, developing and practicing within clinical protocols.Working with Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

Advanced clinical skills, theoretical knowledge, and expertise in neonatal care Leadership capabilities and the ability to manage change and innovation. High level of interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to plan and develop specialized education programs, teach, assess, and present with excellent verbal, written, and IT skills. Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize personal workload. Ability to identify neonatal issues, analyze, interpret, diagnose, and intervene or refer as appropriate. Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, domestic violence, and substance misuse issues. Ability to convey complex, sensitive, and emotional information to families regarding neonatal illness, treatment, abnormalities, and mortality.Desirable Criteria
Ability to perform in place of junior paediatric doctors and in the absence of other medical assistance. Ability to provide highly specialized advice and consultation to the multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with local clinical networks and the ability to liaise and network closely with peers in other organizations. Capability to lead in high-stress clinical situations such as resuscitation and emergency care management. Ability to act as a resource/advisor in neonatal care for the multidisciplinary team.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust mandates that all colleagues wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in line with our infection prevention and control protocols.
