Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom NHS Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Respiratory Training Programme Director. This is a fixed-term contract for 3 years with a possible further 2-year extension.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Head of School to lead the delivery of a wide range of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate. This will include improving learner supervision, assessment, and experience, engaging faculty, and ensuring effective educational outcomes.

About Us

NHS England is committed to delivering high-quality services for all. Our purpose is to lead the NHS in England to deliver accessible, compassionate care. We are looking for a talented individual who shares our vision and is passionate about making a difference in the healthcare sector.

Key Requirements
  • Considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
  • Primary clinical healthcare qualification.
  • Membership/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association, and/or regulatory body relevant to the specialty.
Working Arrangements

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person. Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

Benefits

NHS England holds a Sponsor Licence, which means we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route, you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
