Training Programme Director for Ophthalmology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Ophthalmology Training Programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of School to deliver a wide range of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of the Ophthalmology Training Programme, ensuring it meets the needs of learners and the NHS England mandate.
- Work collaboratively with faculty and stakeholders to improve learner supervision, assessment, and experience.
- Develop and maintain effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Training Programme Director role, focusing on whole workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.
- Support the Postgraduate Dean in working across the spectrum of health and social care, within the context of a team.
The NHS England board has set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all. This purpose will inform the detailed design work, and we will achieve it by:
- Enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.
- Working collaboratively to ensure our healthcare workforce has the right knowledge, skills, values, and behaviours to deliver accessible, compassionate care.
- Optimising the use of digital technology, research, and innovation.
