Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager

Location: Leek Foods UK

Salary: Up to £36,500 depending on experience

As a Manufacturing Services Team Leader, you will be pivotal in overseeing approximately 25 team members within the Manufacturing Services warehouse. Your leadership will ensure that the shift operates safely, efficiently, and effectively, fostering a logical and cooperative environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the shift team, including performance management, recruitment, training, and development.
  • Oversee the management of the MHE fleet, ensuring operational compliance and maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental health and safety protocols, including incident reporting and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate daily and weekly staff shift plans, including agency staff allocation.
  • Facilitate structured shift handovers with other teams.
  • Address and resolve non-conformances promptly.
  • Manage stock issues and product quality concerns effectively.
  • Ensure contractor compliance and manage waste disposal bookings.
  • Oversee pallet stock management and inventory verifications.
  • Lead regular team meetings and communicate effectively with the team.

Candidate Profile:

  • A compassionate team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
  • Effective communicator, capable of conveying information appropriately to different audiences.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Experience in controlling operational costs within budgetary constraints.
