Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Programme Finance Lead to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading and managing change initiatives within our Logistics and Mission Support division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with programme managers to develop and maintain detailed budgets and schedules.
  • Analyse financial performance against the project/programme baseline to identify variances and trends.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities within programmes and recommend proactive strategies to enhance financial performance and achieve programme objectives.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial forecasts, reports, and analysis to support decision-making processes for each programme.
  • Participate in the development of new business proposals and the preparation of on-contract growth proposals for customers.
  • Serve as the liaison between the P3M team and broader Finance function, supporting finance research, management of the general ledger and cash flow forecasts.
  • Drive consistency and standardisation across the wider Leidos Finance Team, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, policies and requirements.
  • Support the development of performance metrics and management information dashboards.
  • Facilitate/contribute to internal and external audits as/when required.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working as a Finance Analyst/Accountant in a project environment supporting multiple concurrent programmes.
  • Track record of managing budgets, financial forecasting, reporting, and participation in the preparation of financial proposals and supporting programme audits.
  • Keen Business (Financial) Acumen and a strong understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting principles.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Cobra).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial data and engaging with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Qualification/intent to qualify with a Professional body for Accounting (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
