Client Details
Our client is an SME business in the logistics / transport sector with an approximate turnover of £20m. They are looking to bring accounts back in house from an external accountant and require support from an experienced and highly autonomous finance professional to join them on a permanent basis.
Description
- Overseeing all financial operations within the company.
- Working closely with Directors (including MD) and providing financial information to support future commercial decision making.
- Developing and implementing financial strategy and policies.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Managing and forecasting budgets and cash flow.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports.
- Collaborating with other departments to inform decisions and strategy with financial insights.
- Managing relationships with banks and external auditors.
- Leading, training, and developing the finance team.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
- Excellent understanding of financial regulations and standards.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Confidence to liaise and present to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Although not essential, experience gained using Sage would be advantageous.
Job Offer
- Salary in the region of £45,000 to £55,000, level depending on experience.
- Permanent role, with the option to work either full time or part time hours.
