Financial Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at Page Personnel Finance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting and finance department in St. Helens.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and receipts, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile daily, monthly, and yearly transactions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Support the finance department, accountants, and management team in achieving financial goals and objectives.
- Prepare and present balance sheets, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Process accruals and prepayments, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Contribute to the sales ledger and credit control, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of organisational products and processes, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- AAT Level 3/4 qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles, with the ability to apply them in a practical context.
- A keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify and resolve errors.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
